Our Leadership

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ". (Ephesians 4:11-13)

OUR PASTORAL STAFF TEAM

Cornerstone is led by a pastoral staff team of four members. The pastoral staff is responsible for the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, administering the sacraments, providing missional leadership, and faithfully carrying out pastoral care and work.

our leadership team

The Leadership Team (LT) at Cornerstone is a group of congregation-approved members who oversee the church both spiritually and operationally. On the operational side, the LT oversees church finances, makes sure we have a place to worship, and takes care of other business matters. On the spiritual side, the LT makes sure the Pastoral Staff has accountability and are taken care of and keep a general pulse of the congregation’s health. The overall goal is to maintain Cornerstone’s health as a Christ-centered community.

our spiritual overseers

The Spiritual Overseers at Cornerstone are members of our church, approved by the congregation, called to care for the church, be willing and able to both teach and discipline the church, protect and guard the congregation (from false teachings), and be devoted to the ministry of the Word and prayer (Acts 6:4).

  • Sabrina Seo

Sabrina has been attending Cornerstone since undergrad at Northeastern University. She finds joy and life from spending time with children and worked at a daycare for a year after graduation. She is now studying nursing at MGH. She has served in various ministries such as Children’s, Spiritual Formation, Prayer, and Global Missions. She has a desire to grow in holistic missions, and for this reason enjoys getting to know people and listening to their stories.

  • Anna Kim

Anna has been a member of Cornerstone for about 13 years. She is originally from NY but fell in love with Boston and Cornerstone while attending undergrad at BC and has been here ever since! She currently works as a registered nurse and lives in Malden with her husband, Brian.

Her hopes for the PSC is for the team to be able to prayerfully discern what God is planning for Cornerstone. She has been a part of much of Cornerstone’s history and seen first hand how God has blessed this community through the various ups/downs over the last 10+ years. She has no doubt that this season will be another time of great growth and maturing for our community.

  • Emily Chow

Hi, I'm Emily! I've been coming to Cornerstone since 2020. I was born and raised in the Boston area. On the weekdays, I work as a management consultant. On the weekends, I'm usually baking, watching Formula One races, and searching for the best ice cream shop in MA.

I'm excited to be a part of what God is doing in this new chapter for our church through the PSC.

  • Yerin Myung

Hello everyone! I am Yerin, a 5th year pharmacy major at Northeastern. I am a big foodie and would willingly use money I cannot afford to spend if it means I will eat well. I have been attending Cornerstone for the past 5 years since my freshman year of undergrad. I served as a campus leader for 3 years during my time in college ministry and now am serving on the welcoming ministry since transitioning YA ministry.  I hope I can provide some insight as someone who has been involved in different ministries and life stages. While change can come with a lot of anxiety and unknowns, I am excited to see how this process can help bring growth to our church!

  • Toni Li

My name is Toni and I've been attending Cornerstone for just over a year. I moved to Boston in July 2021 from just outside of Toronto, Canada to work at Wayfair as a Data Analyst. I was super excited to be asked to serve on the PSC because I had been wanting to find new opportunities to serve our community. Some of my hobbies include being an avid Goodreads user and playing Tetris.

  • Esther Chung

Born in Louisiana, Esther moved around growing up, until she came to Boston in 2013 for undergrad at Boston College. During her time in Boston, she was led to Cornerstone Church by BC upperclassmen, who welcomed her and walked with her in her faith journey. By their example, she became involved in the Cornerstone Church community where she grew to love and serve the church. She has served in different capacities both in college and as a young adult, most recently as a vocalist on worship ministry and as a core member of the young adult ministry. Esther is a nurse at the Veteran’s Hospital and is living out her calling to bringing wholeness to people and spaces through her gift of hospitality.

  • Gloria Choi

Gloria has lived in Korea, New York, and New Jersey, then has been calling Boston her home for over 10 years, and Cornerstone her home church for most of that time. She is currently working as a career advisor at Boston College and serving on Worship Ministry Core at Cornerstone. She moved to Boston to study pharmacy at Northeastern, but along the way God showed her a different path in college student advising that she fell in love with, so she decided to get a graduate degree in this new field. At Cornerstone she has previously served on Prayer Ministry and College Ministry Core and led CGs. In college, she was also involved in campus ministry as a campus leader and praise team member. Wherever she is, she loves to use her gift of Mercy to show God’s love to others.
